A conference about the importance of the stories, memories and histories of people with learning disabilities
The Call for Papers for our 2025 SHLD conference is now open!
We would like to hear about your ideas about taking part in the conference.
It is your chance to offer to speak at our Conference, to tell your story, to give an academic paper, to show a film, to create a poster or some art, or lead a workshop.
This is a very special event as it’s the 30th anniversary of the SHLD group.
The conference will take place on 9th and 10th July 2025 at The Open University (Milton Keynes).
Please send us your ideas for what you’d like to do by Saturday 1st March 2025.
