Research conducted by The Open University Business School’s Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership shows that the public trust in smaller charities far exceeds that of their larger counterparts. This blog is written by Dr James Rees, the former Director of the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership.

Daniel Haslam is a new PhD student in the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership. In this blog, he introduces his research into voluntary sector leadership in the context of cross-sector collaborations, which focuses on the emerging NHS multispecialty community providers.

CVSL has been created thanks to a generous investment by OU alumnus Anthony Nutt. Its aim is to strengthen leadership in the voluntary sector through the provision of free leadership courses and the completion of research on leadership over the next few years. The Centre will be officially launched in October at a free event in London.

The Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership is based in The Open University Business School and provides a new opportunity to access learning resources and research-led insight into leadership in the voluntary sector and collaboration within and across sector boundaries.
