The Open Justice Centre’s ‘AI, Law and Legal Training’ collaborative project has been recognised in the Digital Leaders’ AI Impact Awards.

Each year, The Open Justice Centre celebrates the exceptional achievements of our high calibre students. Our annual awards are given to individual students or groups of students that make outstanding contributions to the projects they are involved in. Students are nominated by their tutors or project managers.

We have recently launched our suite of eight free courses, via OpenLearn Create, on ‘AI, Law and Legal Training’. They aim to provide practical introductory training to support knowledge and understanding of the responsible and ethical use of Generative AI (GenAI) tools in advice and legal contexts.

Flex Legal hire aspiring lawyers from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, put them through an intensive 'Readiness Programme', and place them in an in-house legal team to undergo QWE with their fantastic clients - such as ASOS, The Crown Estate, TrustPilot, and Diageo. On top of that, we fund the SQE prep course(s) and exams through our incredible partners at Barbri.

The Law School’s ‘Open Justice Criminal Justice Clinic’ has been shortlisted in the LawWorks and Attorney General Student Awards 2023 for ‘Best new pro bono activity’.
