No sloppy work from Francine at AI Fringe event

Francine Ryan met up with Law alumna Caroline Clayton when she was a panellist at the AI Fringe 2025 event in London.

The panel was convened by Which?, the UK’s consumer association, with experts from across online dating, legal services, financial services and children’s online protection on Wednesday 12 February.

Law alumna Caroline (shown far left), who graduated from the OU in 2022, is now working for Which? as a Senior Policy Advisor while studying for an Artificial Intelligence Ethics and Society master’s degree at the University of Cambridge.

Francine (shown third from left), Director of our Open Justice Centre and Senior Lecturer in Law, discussed ‘AI and access to justice’ as part of ‘AI Slop? Consumers Say No!’. ‘Slop’ is the term used for low-quality media, including writing and images, made using GenAI technology.
