Around the world, only 35% of students in STEM-related fields are women. Women account for 1 in 3 STEM graduates (2022), 1 in 5 ICT specialists (2024) and 24% of self-employed professionals in technical professions, such as science, engineering and ICT (2021). There is so much more to be done to balance the field.
International Day for Women and Girls in Science is celebrated every year, on 11 February. We have gathered a selection of resources about the state of gender representation in STEM, and resources from women in STEM. We want to shine a light on the issue, and celebrate those that are (and have been) making a difference.
