Our librarians have put together a collection of resources that explore the needs and experiences of people with disabilities. Covering topics such as education, online spaces, historical attitudes, and activism, we hope this will be a helpful starting point for better understanding disability history as well as present-day experiences.
Over 30,000 OU students have a declared disability, so we are serious about our duty to provide accessible education and services for everyone. Inclusive design should be an integral part of everyday life, and so should a better understanding of what it means to be disabled.
