Now, more than ever before, we are faced with an information crisis. The internet, social media and AI are all contributing factors to the influx of misinformation, disinformation and malinformation that we are all faced with. 

  • Misinformation is the spread of incorrect or inaccurate information, but with no ill-will. The individual does not know it isn't true.
  • Disinformation is the intentional spread of incorrect or inaccurate information. The individual knows it isn't true.
  • Mal-information is the spread of accurate information, but done in a way to harm another person.
