New Carers Support resources launched for Carers Week 2026

To support carers across the OU community, the Library has launched new resources in time for Carers Week 2026 (8–14 June), whose theme this year is ‘Building carer friendly communities’. 

In collaboration with the OU Carer Staff Network, the Library has created a new Carers Support curated resource list bringing together books, articles, guides, and other materials that offer practical information and insight into caring responsibilities and experiences.

The Library has also added a new Carers Support collection on Libby, the Library’s free reading app available to all OU students and staff. The collection features a range of ebooks and audiobooks exploring the varied experiences of care and caring.

Both collections will continue to grow, and we welcome suggestions for additional resources to include.
