Get ready for level 2 study with digital and information literacy skills

Want to get off to a strong start with your level 2 modules? The Library has launched the next Digital and Information Literacy (DIL) badged course, designed to help you build your skills in finding, evaluating and using information – whilst building your confidence in navigating digital spaces.

Each DIL course is tailored to a specific level of study and covers the key digital and information literacy skills you’ll need at that level. You can take the new Level 2 course on its own - there’s no need to have completed Level 1 first.

In the level 2 course, you’ll learn how to:

  • Use generative AI tools ethically and responsibly
  • Effectively search databases and evaluate information critically
  • Reduce the environmental impact of your online activity
  • Use images appropriately whilst adhering to copyright
  • Manage your time more effectively

These skills will support your assignments, strengthen your everyday digital confidence, and help prepare you for employment.

The course is flexible, so you can complete it at your own pace - work through everything, dip into topics in any order, or focus on what you need most. Once you finish, you’ll earn a digital badge you can share on social media.

Get started on the new level 2 DIL course today, or take a look back at the level 1 course - we hope you enjoy it!
