Celebrate Pride with LGBTQ+ stories, history and voices

This Pride Month, we're highlighting a range of resources that celebrate LGBTQ+ lives, experiences, and contributions, while supporting learning, reflection, and discovery across the OU community.

Our growing LGBTQ+ resource collection explores LGBTQ+ history and activism, while also shining a light on LGBTQ+ authors, artists, and other influential figures. Selected resources reflect LGBTQ+ lives past and present, including works that explore identity, culture, community, and key historical figures.

For those looking for reading for pleasure, we've also created an LGBTQ+ collection on Libby, the Library's free reading app available to all OU students and staff. The collection features a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles, alongside comic books, autobiographies, young adult literature, audiobooks, and magazines, offering something for every reader.

Whether you're looking to discover new perspectives, explore inspiring life stories, or simply find your next great read, these collections provide a wealth of resources to get started with.

We encourage all members of the OU community to explore, share, and engage with these collections. You're also welcome to help shape them by suggesting new resources or offering feedback, helping us to grow and enrich these collections together.
