We’re excited to invite our police force members and OU academics to our CPRL Engagement Day on 19th June – a key moment to shape the future of the Centre for Policing Research and Learning together.
This is not just another event. It’s a space for real conversation, shared planning, and new ideas. We’ll be showcasing some of the exciting directions CPRL is heading in – and inviting you, our partners, to be part of shaping the work ahead.
Aims of the Engagement Day:
From strengthening Evidence-Based Policing approaches to reimagining Learning and Development pathways, this event is built around your needs and your voice. We're especially keen to hear from:
🔹 Senior Officers leading on Evidence-Based streams
🔹 Those feeding into ‘evidence-based’ activity across your force including Analysts and EBP Leads
🔹 Learning and Development colleagues, helping align our CPD and education offers with your workforce priorities
We’ll also share insights from recent successes – including force-commissioned Strategic Training Needs Analyses (STNAs) – and explore emerging opportunities in AI and VR, where the Open University has a lot to offer.
This is your chance to help shape CPRL’s next chapter – and the broader strategies and priorities of policing.
📅 Date: 19th June 2025
📍 Location: Open University, Walton Hall, Milton Keynes, MK7 6AA
Please reserve your space on Eventbrite. More details will follow shortly – but please mark your calendar now and make sure your voice is in the room.
We can’t wait to work with you as we embark on the next 10 years of CPRL.
The Centre for Policing Research and Learning (CPRL) is proud to launch our 2024 Annual Report, marking a decade of collaboration with policing that’s driven meaningful change and supported professional learning across the sector.
