Pathways

Pathways is an innovative project led by The Open University in Wales and funded by Medr’s Strategic Development Fund. Working with partners across Rhondda Cynon Taf, the project helps people explore their options and take the next step towards education, training, work or personal development. It is designed to make progression routes easier to understand and ensure people can access the support that is right for them.

The project supports young people who are not currently in education, employment or training, those educated other than at school (EOTAS), and adults looking to return to learning. By working closely with local communities and organisations, Pathways has developed practical tools that help people recognise their strengths, build confidence and find opportunities that match their goals. At its heart, the project is about helping people discover a path that works for them.

“It’s fantastic to be working with partners to co-design an information, advice and guidance (IAG) model that places learners’ needs at the heart of progression," said Stacey, Project Manager at The Open University in Wales.
