Today, there are more mobile phones in the world than people. Yet for many, technology still feels confusing or intimidating.
The Open University in Wales has partnered with CISCO Networking Academy to produce a free, bilingual, six-hour course to help you build the confidence to easily use digital devices.
The course starts with the essentials—understanding computers and mobile devices, from hardware and operating systems to everyday software. It teaches users how to download and update apps, connect through Wi‑Fi, mobile data, or Bluetooth, and keep devices running smoothly by managing storage and memory. It also shows how to master file handling across Windows, Android, and the cloud, along with trackpad and mouse gestures like clicking, swiping, and pinch‑to‑zoom.
