MIAG concerns the ways in which new migrants to and within Africa might act as catalysts for (inter)national business and African development. The data needed to interrogate these processes includes:
- Existing public databases.
- New survey data.
- New qualitative data.
- Reviews of media and ‘grey literature’.
Additionally, MIAG has identified that substantial collections of often unprocessed migration data are held by government agencies and that there is a strong desire to collate and analyse them in order to inform policy. We plan to make the data publicly available.
