This session will give a brief overview of the services and resources offered by the Library. It will cover:

  • open access publishing
  • Open Research Online (the OU’s research publications repository)
  • research data management
  • Open Research Data Online (the OU’s research data repository)
  • training sessions the library offers
  • resources to support literature searching  
  • access to online resources  
  • how to get resources that the library does not hold
  • where to go for help and support  

Session objectives:

By the end of this session you should know:

  • The services the library offers to support you with your research  
  • How to access help and support

Target audience:  

  • Postgraduate Research Students
  • Research Staff, and
  • Research Support Staff

If you are a new PGR or early on in your research degree, we recommend you attend the ‘How the library Can Support you through your Research Degree’ training session.
