Car Share Bays Converted to Standard Parking at Walton Hall Campus

Parking arrangements across the Walton Hall campus are to change following feedback from staff and students. A total of 42 car share bays have been converted into standard parking spaces, improving flexibility for drivers.

The changes affect several key parking lots:

• North Parking: 3 car share bays removed, leaving 1 bay still in use.
• Inner East Parking: 20 bays removed, with 3 remaining.
• East Parking: 12 bays removed, leaving 4 active bays.
• Inner West Parking: 3 bays removed, with 3 still available.
• Church Car Park: No changes. 4 car share bays remain.

Car share bays that are still active can be identified by a white sign displaying “Car Share Bay”.

❓Will the red road markings and ‘S’ symbols be removed?
🅰️No. These markings will remain in place to avoid additional costs and to allow for reinstatement if car sharing demand increases in the future.
