Bike Shed users: action may be required - lock storage trial

We’re currently trialling a bike lock storage rail in the Berrill Bike Shed to make things safer and easier for everyone.

Please use the rail to store your lock when it’s not in use – this helps:

reduce clutter and trip hazards for users
free up bike loops for other cyclists

What you need to do:

If you have a bike lock on a loop you need to add it to the bike rail.

Security will be attaching notices to any locks currently left in the shed. If they are not moved onto the rail, they will be removed and disposed of after 30/09/2026.
