Elizabeth Kimber awarded Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship

Congratulations to Elizabeth Kimber who has been awarded a highly prestigious Early Career Fellowship by the Leverhulme Trust.  

Elizabeth completed her PhD in 2024 on Graphical Shape Thinking in Mathematics Classroom Discourse: Analytic Insights from Systemic Functional Linguistics, and she will return to the School of Mathematics and Statistics on 1st March 2026, for 3 years. 

Her project will explore post-16 mathematics education, building on her prior research based on analysis of mathematics classroom discourse on graphs at GCSE level.
