Tribute to Uwe Grimm

Uwe GrimmWith deep sadness the School of Mathematics and Statistics mourns the loss of Professor Uwe Grimm, who died unexpectedly in late October.

Uwe was a much loved colleague for his friendliness, positivity and vitality. He had wide-ranging research interests, in recent years focusing on aperiodic order. He left three postdoctoral researchers – Alvaro Bustos Gajardo, Chikwesiri Imediegwu and Neil Mañibo who will now be supported principally by Reem Yassawi and Richard Moat.
