Join us for the first event in our Scholarship Matters series for 2026-27.

At this session, Eleanor Moore, Isabella Henman and Shona Clark will share insights into the role of student involvement in their 2025-26 Praxis scholarship projects. Their presentations will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A session, offering attendees the opportunity to discuss the projects and explore key findings in more detail.

Featured projects include:

Better Words for AI: A Collaborative Dynamic Lexicon - Mirjam Hauck and Eleanor Moore
Better Words for AI is a project exploring how the language of AI shapes understanding, confidence and inclusion in higher education. This session shares how students are engaged as partners in shaping an online lexicon and influencing its direction, alongside practical lessons for meaningful co-creation.

Exploring the potential for online community events to support belonging and engagement in Access - Isabella Henman and Karen Bowen
Discover how a series of five co-created workshops combined wellbeing and study skills to support Access students. This presentation explores the impact on student belonging, engagement and autonomy, highlighting how open conversations about disability, mental health and neurodiversity encouraged stronger connections, greater confidence and increased help-seeking behaviour.

Building student community ECYS - Shona Clark
This presentation will cover why building student community is important and what we have understood through our scholarship about building community in ECYS from our students perspective. It will also cover co-creation with students, it's impact and what we have learned.
