Get ready for the Open Justice Advent Calendar 2020

Christmas is almost upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with the Open Justice Advent Calendar 2020?

From Monday 13 December, we’ll be treating you to a daily festive-themed blog. For 12 days, you’ll be able to read seasonal contributions to this very special blog series by seasoned OU lecturers, new OU colleagues, OU students and Open Justice Centre staff.

Highlights in the seasonal series include a Christmas Eve piece in which Open Justice legal advice is offered to Father Christmas, who finds himself at the centre of a worrying elf employment dispute.

You’ll also get a sneak peek at new Open Justice Centre research from students and colleagues, and a piece on Helena Normanton who was the first woman to be admitted to the bar as a student on Christmas Eve 1919, among other fun, festive offerings.

Topics are informative, educational and somewhat surprising. The wide-ranging subjects cover everything from weddings and space, to cold water swimming, virtual worlds and human trafficking.

Every blog post will be published here on the Open Justice Centre blog. They will also be shared by the Open Justice Centre Twitter account, @OU_OpenJustice
