Research data are precious and should be archived for the long term to ensure that results can be verified, and data can be re-used in the future. This webinar looks at good practice for preparing data for deposit in a research data repository or archive.
Session objectives:
- Understand why digital preservation is important
- Know how to appraise and select research data for preservation
- Identify good file formats for preservation
- Learn how to select an appropriate licence for your dataset
- Learn why metadata is an essential part of the archiving process
