What learners say

Avril Moore, Executive Support Coordinator

“I found this course beneficial in both a personal and work capacity. The holistic approach and focus on mindfulness were very refreshing and something I have been able to continue practicing since finishing the course. The content was so rich, exposing me to global majority and indigenous perspectives I was not aware of previously. I also really enjoyed the way it featured corporate leaders and showed how it is possible to think differently even in large organisations to steward the environment and nature. The way it is spread over 12 weeks helped me fit studying in around my home life, and gave me time to engage with the content; making it accessible and enjoyable. The frameworks and models covered enabled me to successfully influence upwards and secure an organisation level to change in our default search engine to one that focusses on combatting climate change and biodiversity loss.”

Catarina Campos, Senior Support Services Assistant

"I can say this was one of the most valuable learning experiences I have had. I am currently completing a degree within environmental studies and this course provided a clear and engaging view of climate change and practical strategies for creating change within the organisation. I was very impressed by how the course moved beyond theory into practical frameworks and tools to help my think critically and mindfully on how sustainability can be integrated into everyday decision-making.
The course was easy to balance with work and personal commitments and allowed me to learn at my own pace while also feeling connected to the other students. I appreciated the materials were not only thought-provoking but also supported by real world examples that made the content relevant and inspiring.
I also loved the opportunity to develop an action plan. This encouraged me to apply what I learned more directly to my own organisation’s challenges by turning ideas into meaningful actions.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in sustainability, leadership and organisational transformation. It is insightful, practical and empowering, and provided me with the confidence to discuss sustainability issues and tools to contribute positively to environmental change."

Liz Davies, Senior Communications Manager

"Studying this course was a brilliant opportunity to step back, reflect and engage on climate change, within an organisational context. I was particularly impressed at the study format – materials were accessible and engaging, with lots of video to keep the pace moving. Resources were well organised with links to look back on at a later stage, either during the course or afterwards – this helped me when I presented my action plan to colleagues then worked to refine it after the course had finished. I really valued the opportunity to create the action plan as part of the course – this felt practical and of real value, for me and for my team. The content of the course was outstanding. I felt challenged and supported throughout."

Teresa Cox, Senior Manager

"Through supporting the Responsible Futures accreditation motivated me to learn more, I enrolled on the microcredential Climate Change: transforming your organisation for sustainability and through studying this course it inspired me to take action and stand for the Green Party in the local elections, involving canvassing which was very much stepping outside my comfort zone and I have since become a local councillor. The course materials were excellent and of a very high-standard, the content and videos very thought-provoking; I valued the meditation sessions at the start of each session to help ‘ground’ myself.  Through studying this module, it has been beneficial in helping make a positive change towards promoting sustainability within my work and also outside of work within the local community."
