The Open University in Scotland are hosting an in-person seminar on 'The Lives of the Ancients: Ritual and Religion in Ancient Greece and Rome' at the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Step into the sacred spaces of the ancient world with The Open University’s Dr Jessica Hughes, Dr Fiona Hobden, and Dr Stephanie Holton as they uncover how religion shaped the lives of ordinary Greeks and Romans.

Uncover how everyday Romans connected with their gods through the household shrines and rituals at the heart of domestic life, explore how religious experiences shaped the lives of the women of ancient Greece, and discover the healing power of dreams in the cult of Asklepios. The talks will be followed by a panel Q&A, offering a chance to ask your questions and join the discussion.
