The Open University is proud to sponsor Damian Barr Literary Salon at the Edinburgh International Book Festival 2023.

Celebrated author, broadcaster, and host of The Big Scottish Book Club, Damian Barr is all about books - whether that’s through his own writing or by celebrating other people’s.

The Edinburgh International Book Festival is delighted to welcome him back for an evening of lively discussion, readings, and performance as we bring together some very special guests for this Edinburgh edition of his wildly popular Salon. Barr is joined by Monica Heisey, Hollie McNish, Michael Pedersen, and more guests.

There is a wide range of free learning resources about creative writing on the OU's free learning site OpenLearn.
