New AL led projects now up and running

We are delighted to announce a further 6 projects to the eSTEeM portfolio. Following the 2nd call for AL led projects in March 2020, we received a number of creative, timely and exciting SoTL projects and are looking forward to seeing their progress over the coming months. Laura Dean – Learning and Development Needs of Autistic Adults Studying STEM Subjects via Distance Learning

Katharine Jewitt – A review of the use of Office 365 and Adobe Connect for active learning by ALs tutoring on T227 and TXY227

Abi Kirk – Encouraging verbal communication in online small-group Maths problem-solving sessions; taking inspiration from individual sessions

Cathryn Peoples - Support for Students. Teaching for Tutors. An Investigation into Ideas on Encouraging Students to Engage

Richard Walker – Remote sighted helper support for visually impaired students: exploring good practice: Stage 1

A 3rd call for AL projects will be launched next year so watch this space for details.

OU staff are invited to submit abstracts for the forthcoming eSTEeM Annual Conference.
