In this session, we will focus on how to successfully construct surveys as a method for carrying out research into STEM teaching and learning. We will provide guidance on designing appropriate questions; the practicalities of employing them in an OU context; benefits and disadvantages and an introduction to analysing the data collected.
After attending the session, participants will gain an understanding of:

Mark Jones is a Senior Lecturer, Staff Tutor and Deputy Director of eSTEeM. He has a long-standing interest in the use of new technologies in teaching and the wide-ranging effects that technological innovations can have on learners and learning communities.
