Overview

An introductory session to ORO, the institutional repository of the Open University. This session will cover the basics of using ORO: what can be added to ORO, how to access ORO, how to add items to ORO and keep it up to date.

Learning Objectives

• An understanding of ORO functionality.
• Know how to upload items to ORO and update them.
• An understanding of how you can use ORO to increase the dissemination of scholarship outputs.

About the facilitator

Chris Biggs manages ORO on a day to day basis, is particularly interested in the role repositories have in the scholarly communications infrastructure.  Chris also provides general advice on Open Access publishing.
