Diasporic Contact Zones at the BBC World Service

A coming together of academics who are researching the digital services and audiences of the BBC World Service, and the media professionals working on the production of digital services. The topics under investigation for the day were ‘research methods’, ‘media production’, ‘media text’, ‘audiences’ and ‘regulation’ in relation to BBC WS. Kelly Shephard (Managing Editor, BBC World Service Future Media & Technology) started the day off by presenting future plans for the 32 BBC WS Language sites and diaspora projects.
