OU Cricket Club

OU Cricket LogoThe Open University Cricket Club

The Open University Cricket Club is open to all members of staff and their families. We have a busy season every year and are always on the lookout for new members. Whether you are an experienced batsman or bowler, a complete novice or just want to play the odd game, we welcome anyone who enjoys cricket and wants to take part.

We have four main teams:

OUCC Saturday League XI

OUCC Sunday Friendly XI

OUCC Midweek League XI

OUCC Midweek Friendly XI

We also go on tour to Yorkshire every August Bank Holiday weekend, staying in Harrogate, playing teams in and around that area over the four days. Without a doubt, this is the highlight of the entire OUCC season!

Back home, we tend to play every weekend (weather permitting) between late April and mid September. There are also a few evening matches, with shorter innings, played between May and August. Opposition teams are mostly local village teams in and around Milton Keynes, stretching from Buckingham on the one side to Bedford on the other. Some matches are competitive and some are not so.
