Travel to the beautiful city of Durham from Walton Hall, stopping on the way in the historical Spa town of Harrogate.
Stay 2 nights in the Marriott Royal County, Durham - dinner bed and breakfast.
Spend the day after arrival at leisure in Durham - visit the beautiful Durham Castle, the Cathedral and stroll along the River Wear.
Return to the hotel for an early dinner before you head to the Eleven Arches to experience Kynren!
Set against the magnificent backdrop of Auckland Castle, County Durham, this 90-minute KYNREN show begins at dusk and ends in starlight. The show takes the audiences on a journey through 2,000 years of British history, myth and legend at breakneck speed. Encompassing the Roman occupation, both World Wars, Viking and Norman invasions, medieval feasts, Tudor times, The English Civil War, the Georgian Renaissance, Industrial Revolution and Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in between. This show allows you to experience the magic, history and spectacle of KYNREN for yourself. On your return to the hotel you will be served tea, coffee and biscuits.
Breakfast at the hotel, before we head back to MK, stopping off on in the historic town of York for a short visit en route.
