This online course has been designed and produced by The Open University in partnership with specialists in immigration law training, HJT Training Professionals. Each session covers a specific topic relevant to immigration law and advice and the course provides links to the relevant sources of law on that topic.

After you have studied this course and completed the activities in it, you will know about:

Title one

  • some aspects of the work of an immigration adviser
  • the key personnel and terminology related to immigration law
  • and in addition, you will have developed several practical and professional skills required in this area.

Each session also has its own learning outcomes, which expand on the overall course learning outcomes listed above and a final consolidation section that encourages you to self-assess your progress.
