South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM) takes place throughout July, celebrating the histories, cultures and communities of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

In collaboration with the OU BME Staff Network, we've created a curated resource list featuring works by authors from South Asia and people of South Asian heritage. The collection spans fiction and non-fiction, offering insights into history, identity, culture, politics, family, migration and contemporary life.
