From 1 March 2026, the OU is implementing a new Research Publications Policy to make Open Access publishing easy. Come along to this introductory session to learn more about what the policy means for your rights as an author.

Target audience: 

  • Postgraduate Research Students
  • Research Staff, and
  • Research Support Staff

  • 1) summarise the purpose and scope of the Research Publications Policy and the benefits of rights retention
  • 2) locate online guidance about the policy and how it might apply to research outputs
  • 3) opt out of the policy, if needed
