The (OU led) Capability Measurement Project: An overview and application to Self Help Groups in Northern India

Abstract: The talk provides an overview of some of the work using the Sen-Nussbaum approach to quality of life (and increasingly social justice) and concludes with evidence from a survey and propensity score matching analysis of 6000 women that provides evidence of capability changes following participation in self-help groups.
