You may have already spotted the new bike parking areas around campus — they’re now fully installed with updated signage for staff and visitors.

Estates have added two new locations:

• A  larger bike rack outside the front of Walton Hall

On average there is a fire from a lithium battery in an e-bike or e-scooter every two days in London.

Lithium batteries can pose a serious fire risk if they’re damaged, poorly charged, or used with the wrong equipment, among other things.

The London Fire Brigade has put together simple, practical tips on how to charge, store and look after lithium batteries safely. It’s a quick read that can help prevent overheating and fires at home or on the go.

Simply place your order through the Starship app, and when your robot arrives, you can collect your items from the designated pick‑up point at the OU campus bus stops.
