London-based writing group

A message from Patricia Ferguson, FASS PGRS to all research students:

"I run a London-based writing group for OU PGRS at the University of London's Senate House.

I think the group would benefit both student who are writing up, but also students in the early stages of their research - I'm one such myself! We chat for ten minutes, work for 50 minutes or so, have a 10 minute break, then work again. 'Work' can be reading, writing, anything useful to the student at the time. It's by no means confined to 'writing up'.

We meet every Thursday morning from 9.00am until 11.00am, or later if the room is still available. The Senate House hopes to give us definite three hour sessions next term.

I send out a reminder email on Tuesday afternoons. If any OU research students are interested, please email me and I'll add your names to my list."
