Access to OU/BBC co-productions

From a message from Sara Haslam to FASS PGRS (though the site contains productions from across the faculties):

"Did you know that, as an OU PGR student, you have free access to a wide range of BBC-OU co-productions? The OU’s longstanding partnership with the BBC has generated a huge amount of high quality and award-winning broadcast content, covering all areas of our FASS curriculum. By following this link - http://bufvc.ac.uk/ou/ -  to the Learning On Screen website, you can access television programmes on a wide range of subjects, and watch them for free (after they are no longer hosted on the BBC iPlayer). Recent productions that might be of interest include Civilisations, Inside the Foreign Office, Forensics: The Real CSI, The Fires That Foretold Grenfell, and Icons - but there are many more besides.

How about, for example: The Secret Life of Books, Blood and Gold: The Making of Spain, Symphony. My Shakespeare, Andrew Marr's Paperback Heroes, Ancient Greece: Greatest Show on Earth, or Divine Women?

New co-productions will also be added to this site as they become available.

Please note that you will need to be logged in to the OU intranet or on StudentHome before you click on the links to gain access. (The Learning On Screen website may also ask you to identify your institution before you are authorised to watch the programmes.) You can use the search box to find programmes by their title. A full description of the content of each episode is provided on the Learning On Screen website to help you choose what you’d like to watch.

The site isn’t browsable, so you might want to flag the best things you discover to your OU PGRS colleagues. The postgraduate convenor in your department can help you do this internally, or you can use your existing networks."
