As the conflict in Israel and Gaza escalates and we hear of the growing violence and horrific loss of life, our thoughts turn to the innocent civilians across this area.
We are especially concerned for our Open University students and staff who may be personally affected by this conflict.
We will be contacting students directly who we know are based in Israel and Gaza, or are nationals from these areas, to offer them support and signpost them to services that can help them in managing their ongoing study.
Any PGR student who needs support during this time should talk to their supervisor who can advise on options for your research; for mental health support please see the options, including Employee Assistance Programme telephone counselling, on this page Student wellbeing | Graduate School Network (open.ac.uk).
For all students and staff affected by this situation, our thoughts are with you and your loved ones.
Please get in touch for research-degree-related issues by phoning 01908 653806 or sending an email.
