Dear Postgraduate Researchers,
We’re looking forward to talking with you at our next Town Hall event on Wednesday 11 September, 11:00-12:30. This will be hybrid, in Library Seminar Room 7 and online. Jake Yeo, Director of Research, Enterprise and Scholarship will be joining the meeting at 12:10 to give us an update on Campus 2030.
After the meeting, we'd be delighted if any of you felt like staying on to join the Crafternoon session on in The Park on Library 2nd Floor, where we'll have some tea and biscuits, and opportunities to be creative.
All PGRs are welcome to attend the Town Hall to ask and hear questions and discussion of issues that are relevant across the PGR Community. Please send in your questions in advance by midday on Tuesday 10 September to [email protected]. We really want to answer your questions in the meeting and sometimes this takes a bit of research. If you want to look at what we discussed in the last Town Hall, please find the Town Hall Meeting Actions 24 April 2024. If you would like to send in a question anonymously, you could do this via your PGR liaison group rep PGRS-GS liaison group | Graduate School Network (open.ac.uk).
We last gave you a formal update on progress on the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) action plan in March. We will report at this Town Hall on what further steps we have taken since then.
As we will not participate in PRES again until 2025, it's important for us to know whether we're on the right track. In the meeting we will ask you to fill out a very short survey about your current experience; this will also be emailed to all PGRs.
Our Town Halls will be conducted in a respectful manner that aligns with our Student Charter values.
If you have any questions about this email, please direct them to [email protected].
Best regards,
Lindsay
