Calgary – Banff 

Day 1 Depart MK by coach to London Heathrow and Fly to Calgary.

Arrive in Calgary where you will be met and transferred on the Trans-Canada Highway into the Rocky Mountains. Travel through Kananaskis Country and the pretty town of Canmore before entering Banff National Park to start your Canadian adventure. Afternoon at leisure.

Surrounded by the towering peaks of the Rocky Mountains, the bustling town of Banff and was one of Canada’s first tourist resorts and over 130 years later remains an unmissable part of any Alberta itinerary. The town itself provides a wide choice of shopping and dining options and a number of natural attractions are right on the doorstep, including the scenic Bow River, Vermilion Lakes, Cave and Basin Hot Springs, Hoo-Doos on Tunnel Mountain and spectacular views from Sulphur Mountain. Further afield explore the many wonders of Banff National Park, whether by foot, bike, horseback, raft, kayak or helicopter – whatever your perspective the view can’t fail to impress!

Staying 2 nights at the Canalta Lodge or Mount Royal Hotel or similar on bed and breakfast basis

Day 2 Private tour today showing the group some of the highlights of the area whilst keeping an eye out for some of Canada's famous wildlife!

Travel to Lake Louise this morning - one of the most photographed areas in Canada! After spending some time around the Lake, you will travel back to Banff for an afternoon of free time. Optional activities such as ebiking, Banff Gondola, horseback riding, canoeing, hiking, hot springs, helicopter tour and more available.

This evening is at leisure for dinner and shopping on Banff Avenue.

Day 3 travel from Baff to Jasper

On the Icefields Parkway to Jasper, view a never-ending procession of mammoth mountains, jagged peaks, over 100 glaciers and pristine emerald coloured lakes. Along the way see such sights as the Sarbach Glacier, Peyto Lake, Bow Lake and Crowfoot Glacier, before your arrival at the Columbia Icefield. Here you will take an Ice Explorer (included) ride out onto the glacier and soak up the views from the glass-bottomed Glacier Skywalk (optional extra). Leaving the Athabasca Glacier, keep your camera handy to capture the majesty of the Athabasca Falls prior to your arrival into Jasper.

Accommodation in Tonquin Inn or Forest Park Hotel for 2 nights (bed and breakfast)

Day 4 Jasper 

Head out on a tour of Jasper this morning starting at Pyramid Lake and Pyramid Island. From here you will continue on to Maligne Lake which is famous for the colour of its azure water, the surrounding peaks, the three glaciers visible from the lake, and Spirit Island, a frequently and very famously photographed islet.

Day 5 Jasper to Clearwater

Leaving Jasper National Park, travel the historic ‘Yellowhead’ route and take in the magnificent vistas of the steep-walled gorges and crashing falls of the North Thompson River. On your journey today, you can view Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Albreda Icefields. A stop is included at Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. This afternoon, explore Wells Gray Provincial Park and see some beautiful waterfalls such as Helmcken Falls or Dawson Falls.

Conveniently situated in the heart of Clearwater, close to many restaurants and shops. Ideally located for exploring the beautiful Wells Gray Provincial Park, home to stunning waterfalls and lakes.

Day 6 Clearwater to Whistler

Continue your drive to Whistler today, a charming alpine resort nestled between world-renowned Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Make a stop at Lillooet, known as the land of the Gold Rush Trail and ‘Mile Zero’ of the Old Caribou Wagon Road. Leaving Lillooet travel the Duffey Lake Road to Whistler. Be sure to stop at Joffre Lake for breathtaking views of Joffre Glacier.
Upon arriving into Whistler, enjoy a guided walking tour of this small, European style town. Evening at leisure.

Day 7 Whistler 

Accommodation 2 nights in Delta Whistler Village Suites - Whistler by Marriott or similar on a bed and breakfast basis.  A beautifully appointed hotel conveniently located in the heart of Whistler Village. Hotel amenities include room service, grocery service, complimentary high speed internet.

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Whistler. The busy alpine resort of Whistler is nestled between the Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Outside of the winter ski season the area is renowned for its lakes, hiking opportunities and mountain top vistas. Explore the local trails by bike or on foot, try kayaking on one of the local lakes or take the Peak to Peak gondola for unsurpassed views over town and the surrounding peaks. 

Day 8 Whistler to Vancouver

This morning is free time to explore Whistler at leisure or option to book the famous Peak 2 Peak Gondola or even a Private Bear Safari searching for the black bears that call Whistler home. This afternoon, you will travel with your guide down the Sea to Sky Highway - one of the most beautiful roads in Canada whilst stopping at Shannon Falls along the way. Discover The Shipyards District, North Vancouver's vibrant waterfront with unobstructed views of Vancouver's skyline to the south and the soaring North Shore Mountains. You will have time to explore the Lonsdale Quay Public Market before checking into your downtown hotel. Evening at leisure.

Accommodation 2 nights at the Pinnacle Harbour Waterfront or Sandman Hotel Vancouver Downtown or similar on a Bed and Breakfast Basis. 

Day 9 Vancouver

Begin your Vancouver city tour by visiting Canada Place and Jack Poole Plaza, where you will see the Olympic Cauldron built for the 2010 Winter Games Continue to Stanley Park and explore the First Nations Totem Poles with an optional walking tour led by your guide. Discover the stories of the land and people who first lived on Vancouver’s shores! Stop at Prospect Point and take in the views of Lions Gate Bridge and the North Shore Mountains. Continue on a driving tour where you will see some iconic sites and neighbourhoods along the way, including the beach at English Bay, the trendy neighbourhood of West End, False Creek, and Gastown, Vancouver’s original settlement and oldest commercial district featuring the famous steam clock. Take a glass elevator to the observation deck at The Vancouver Lookout to enjoy a 360° panoramic view of the city. Visit Granville Island for a brief tour of this little oasis in the heart of our city. You will have some free time for lunch and shopping here. Walk through the bustling public market, visit art galleries, or grab a coffee while enjoying great views of False Creek.

Day 10 Vancouver

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Vancouver.

Perhaps enjoy an optional full day tour to Victoria:-

Price will range from £226 - £266 per person, depending on numbers.

Depart from hotel at 7:15 am and enjoy a scenic ferry journey through the beautiful Gulf Islands. Upon arrival, you will have a scenic coastal drive through the beautiful communities of James Bay - Stop at Beacon Hill Park and Mile 0 (the start of the Trans Canada Highway). A Sightseeing tour of downtown Victoria including the Inner Harbour, Government street, China town, Empress hotel, and legislative buildings is included along with a visit to the Butchart Gardens - Originally a quarry over 100 years ago, it has been transformed into a modern masterpiece featuring a sunken garden. (The visit Butchart Gardens will be before or after sightseeing in downtown Victoria depending on the season and hours of operation).

Return to Vancouver approximately by 9:30pm.

Day 11 Morning at leisure then travel to Vancouver International Airport for flight back to the UK and the end of our Canadian Adventure

As you can imagine this trip hasn't been the easiest to organise and will be dependent on confirmed numbers.  We will need deposits of £1200 to confirm your place once number of bookers is reached.

At this stage we are asking for expression of interest - we will be able to tailor the trip to what people want to do and will confirm prices before booking places.

The remainder will be due in February 2027
