Focus order:
When the user navigates using their keyboard, the focus order of elements isnot always appropriate for the structure of the page. This is in breach of WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 2.4.3: Focus Order (Level A) and will be resolved by the end of April 2025.
Keyboard functionality:
Some functionality is not available when the user navigates using their keyboard. This applies to drop-down menus, calendars, radio buttons, tick boxes, sliders, content within advanced search functionality i.e. drop-down menus, content within ‘Chat to support’ menu, note windows that pop up in right-hand sidebar. This is in breach of WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 2.1.1: Keyboard (Level A) and will be resolved by the end of April 2025.
Content orientation:
The user cannot control orientation of content, it can only be displayed in landscape orientation. This is in breach of WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.3.4: Orientation (Level AA) and will be resolved by the end of April 2025.
Reflow:
On a small display, content cannot be presented without loss of information or functionality, in breach of WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.4.10: Reflow (Level AA). Ex Libris do not intend to fix this issue and we are continuing to negotiate this with them.

You will need to provide your contact details and Personal Identifier if you are a student so we can get back to you. You should expect to hear back from us within 5 working days.
The OU is very experienced in meeting accessibility needs for our students. In many cases we are able to provide module and other study support materials in alternative formats for students who indicate a need for this when completing a Disability Support Form.
In addition, some module materials are available in different formats and can be downloaded from module websites. Students can contact their Student Support Team for advice.
