Funded by OpenSpace, the Doreen Massey archives project explores new possibilities for thinking with Doreen's ideas in the political present. Working in partnership with the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), the research combines digitisation of audio and visual materials, with extensive archival research into previously unpublished materials across her academic, pedagogical and political work.
Our project focuses on determining equitable access to, and improving the quality of, international distance education (IDE) in South Africa.
Work in this theme fosters possibilities for reimagining the relationships between culture, politics and pedagogy, through encouraging new and experimental practices. From art and visual storytelling, popular culture and digital media, through to experiments with human and non-human modes of engagement, our research develops new modes of public engagement and intervention.
