Railway aesthetics mobile conference: keynote and paper contributions

Two of our OpenSpace members, George Revill and Steph Gillett, have taken part in a remarkable international conference on Railway Aesthetics: Experiencing Locomotion across Media and Cultures. The mobile conference took place, by train, between Vienna, Bucharest and Istanbul from 10-13 September 2025. 

Professor George Revill gave a keynote talk entitled "Railway Aesthetics and a More than Human Politics: Tracks toward Making Matter, Matter in Railway History", while doctoral researcher Steph Gillett gave a paper entitled "Imagined mobilities, imagined railways".
